Instrument Calibration Technician in Dammam

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Chemical Engineering.

Hands-on experience with gas detection systems (PID, IR, electrochemical sensors).

Strong knowledge of calibration standards, gas mixtures, and cross-sensitivity issues.

Ability to interpret technical manuals and provide clear documentation.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Calibration & Testing: Perform routine and scheduled calibration of portable and fixed gas detectors (VOC, benzene, toxic gases). Verify sensor accuracy using certified calibration gases and document results.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair faulty sensors, sampling trains, and detection units, Replace consumables (filters, sensors, tubing) and ensure instruments meet manufacturer specifications.

Documentation: Maintain calibration certificates, logs, and compliance records.

Training & Support: Guide operators on proper use, bump testing, and calibration routines. Assist in developing training modules for technical teams.
