Job Summary

The Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work in accordance with approved welding procedures, engineering drawings, and safety standards. The role requires experience in structural steel, piping, and industrial fabrication projects while ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with company and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Perform SMAW, GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), and FCAW welding as per project requirements.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, WPS, and fabrication sketches.

Prepare, align, fit, and weld metal components accurately.

Inspect welds visually and rectify defects when required.

Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting torches, and related fabrication tools safely.

Maintain welding equipment and report any defects or maintenance requirements.

Support shutdowns, maintenance activities, and site fabrication work as assigned.

Qualifications

ITI/Diploma or equivalent technical qualification in Welding or Fabrication.

Valid welder qualification/certification is preferred.

3–5 years of welding experience in industrial, construction, fabrication, or oil & gas projects.

Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and structural welding is an advantage.

Required Skills

Proficiency in SMAW, GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), and FCAW welding processes.

Knowledge of welding inspection and quality requirements.

Familiarity with welding safety practices and PPE.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Working Conditions

Workshop and project site environment.

May require overtime, shift work, and travel to project locations within Saudi Arabia.

Physically fit to work in industrial environments and confined spaces when required.
