We are looking for fiber optic Technician. with minimum 4-5 experience.
Key Responsibilities: Installation: Laying and routing fiber optic cables in underground trenches, under floors, or overhead. Also install termination boxes, routers, switches, and modems at residential or commercial sites.
Splicing and Termination: Precisely joining optical fibers using fusion splicing or mechanical splicing to ensure continuous and seamless data transmission.
Testing and Troubleshooting: Utilizing tools like Optical Time-Domain Reflectometers (OTDR), light sources, and power meters to test signal integrity and locate faults, breaks, or signal loss.
Maintenance: Conducting preventive maintenance, which includes cleaning fiber connectors, replacing damaged cables, and updating network nodes. Documentation and Safety: Maintaining detailed logs of network configurations, splicing diagrams, and test results, all while adhering strictly to telecommunication and rigging safety protocols.
