Position Overview

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician for Heavy Vehicles, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing complex electrical and electronic systems across our diverse fleet of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and specialized logistics equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose & Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring harnesses, starting/charging systems, electronic control units (ECUs), and multiplexing systems on heavy vehicles.

Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine electrical inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize fleet downtime and ensure regulatory safety compliance.

Diagnostics Tech: Utilize advanced diagnostic scanners and software to accurately pinpoint faults in engine management and braking systems (ABS/EBS).

Component Overhaul: Repair or replace faulty alternators, starter motors, lighting systems, sensors, and actuators.

Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of all repairs, parts used, and maintenance work performed using our fleet management system.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience: Proven experience as an Electrical Technician specifically working on heavy vehicles, commercial trucks, or heavy machinery.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of 12V and 24V electrical systems, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Diagnostic Expertise: Proficiency with modern diagnostic tools and software (e.g., Cummins, Volvo, Scania, or similar heavy-duty diagnostic programs).

Education: Technical diploma or certification in Automotive Electrical Engineering, Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, or a related field is highly preferred.

Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and a strict commitment to workplace safety protocols.
