Experienced local or overseas from Indian Furniture Engineer.

A furniture engineer bridges the gap between creative design and manufacturing. They are responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing furniture pieces to ensure they are functional, safe, structurally sound, and cost-effective to produce.

Core Responsibilities

• Technical Design & Modeling: Create detailed technical drawings, assembly documentation, and 3D models using CAD software like SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

• Prototyping & Testing: Build and test physical prototypes to evaluate the ergonomics, durability, and safety of the furniture.

• Material Selection: Choose appropriate raw materials—such as wood, metal, plastic, and textiles—while considering budget, sustainability, and production constraints.

• Manufacturing Optimization: Develop Bill of Materials (BOMs) and collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are efficient and manufacturable at scale.

• Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs meet industry safety regulations and quality standards (e.g., BIFMA).

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a closely related field.

• Software Skills: High proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar 3D modeling programs.

• Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of woodworking, joinery, upholstery methods, and mass-production techniques.

• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the communication skills required to collaborate with clients, suppliers, and factory floor managers

• 8 Hours Duty + Overtime

• Weekly one day off.

• Salary depending on experience. (BHD300.000 to 350.000)

• Visa, Accommodation & Transport provided by the company.
