Inspect and maintain motors, cables, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, capacitor banks.

Check and tighten all electrical connections and terminal blocks periodically.

Lubricate and test motor bearings, check insulation resistance (IR values)

Maintain and test UPS systems, battery banks.

Inspect and clean drive cabinets (ACS880, DCS880, Siemens drives)

Check cooling fans, filters, heaters inside control panels

Respond immediately to electrical breakdowns to minimize production downtime

Troubleshoot faults in AC/DC drive systems (ABB DCS880, ACS880)

Diagnose and repair faults in MCC panels, DOL/Star-Delta starters, soft starters

Identify and replace faulty contactors, relays, overloads, fuses, breakers

Troubleshoot PLC I/O faults — field signals, sensors, limit switches

Repair/replace encoders, tachogenerators, proximity sensors, thermocouples

Attend to motor faults — overheating, insulation failure, winding faults

Repair Rolling mill stand electrical connections and cabling

Monitor and maintain electrical systems of mill stands, roughing, intermediate, finishing sections

Maintain electrical equipment on reheating furnace — burner controls, zone temperature control

Attend to electrical faults on pinch rolls, flying shear, cooling bed, tail brake, dividing shear

Maintain cobble detectors, billet tracking sensors, bar presence sensors

Support commissioning and calibration of looper systems

Maintain walking pusher electrical drives in furnace area

Perform routine checks on AC and DC drive systems

Monitor drive parameters — current, voltage, speed feedback, fault codes

Reset and diagnose drive faults (overcurrent, overvoltage, earth fault, communication fault)

Replace drive modules, gate driver boards, fan units as required

Assist in drive parameter backup and restoration

Assist automation engineers in PLC panel wiring checks

Identify and replace faulty I/O modules, signal cables, field instruments

Read and interpret electrical schematics and PLC I/O wiring diagrams

Check PROFIBUS/PROFINET communication cable connections and termination resistors

Carry out loop checks for analog and digital signals during commissioning

Assist in maintenance of 33kV incoming substation under supervision

Maintain HV/LV transformers — oil level, temperature, breather, cooling fans

Operate and maintain VCB (Vacuum Circuit Breakers), ACBs, MCCBs

Perform earth fault and insulation resistance testing on HV equipment

Follow Permit to Work (PTW) and LOTO (Lockout Tagout) procedures strictly

Lay, terminate, and maintain power and control cables

Carry out cable tray installation and cable dressing

Prepare and terminate armored cables (SWA) for outdoor/underground use

Identify and replace damaged or burnt cables in production areas

Maintain and replace temperature sensors (RTD/Thermocouple) in furnace zones

Calibrate and replace pressure transmitters, flow meters, level sensors

Maintain speed feedback devices — encoders, pulse generators, tachos
