A Camp Maintenance Electrician installs, repairs, and maintains electrical wiring, lighting, generators, and equipment in residential, commercial, or remote site (FIFO) facilities. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical faults, performing preventative maintenance to ensure uptime, and adhering to safety codes and regulations. They ensure the safe operation of camp facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems, including generators, refrigeration units, lighting, and power distribution systems.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical issues and repair/replace wiring, fixtures, and control systems using testing devices like ammeters and voltmeters.

• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all electrical work complies with statutory, safety codes, and manufacturer specifications.

• Preventative Measures: Conduct regular inspections of components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, to prevent breakdowns.

• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work and inventory, often using maintenance management software.

• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to unscheduled breakdowns or emergency maintenance requests.
