Committed to sustainable water solutions, we are seeking an experienced Testing & Commissioning Engineer to ensure the successful handover of cutting-edge water treatment plants.
Job Purpose
The Engineer for Testing & Commissioning will lead the Maintenance, and management of all testing, commissioning, and start-up activities for water treatment projects. The role ensures that systems meet design specifications, performance standards, and regulatory requirements before final handover to clients.

Key Responsibilities
10 Major Technical Roles
1. Develop and execute comprehensive commissioning plans – Create detailed test procedures, schedules, and resource plans for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process systems.
2. Lead pre-commissioning checks – Verify installation compliance with P&IDs, schematics, and design specifications before dynamic testing.
3. Conduct performance tests – Oversee functional tests, process trials, and reliability runs for systems such as UV, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, chemical dosing, and sludge handling.
4. Manage integrated system commissioning – Coordinate interdisciplinary tests to ensure seamless interaction between civil, mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues – Diagnose faults in equipment, instrumentation, or process performance and implement corrective actions.
6. Ensure HSE compliance – Enforce strict safety protocols during commissioning, including risk assessments, lockout/tagout, and hazardous area procedures.
7. Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors – Manage factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and supervise specialist vendors during commissioning.
8. Review and approve commissioning documentation – Ensure as-built drawings, test reports, calibration records, and operating manuals are complete and accurate.
9. Lead training for client operators – Develop and deliver hands-on training for plant personnel on system operation, maintenance, and safety.
10. Handover project to client – Prepare commissioning completion certificates, punch lists, and ensure all contractual performance guarantees are met.

Qualifications & Experience
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering. Master’s degree is a plus.
· Experience: 5–10 years in testing and commissioning of large-scale water/wastewater treatment plants, with at least 5 years in a senior engineering role.
· Technical Skills:
· Proficiency in SCADA, PLC, and control system testing.
· In-depth knowledge of water treatment processes (e.g., UV, desalination, filtration, disinfection).
· Familiarity with Saudi Arabian water standards and regulations.
· Soft Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, communication, and project management abilities.
· Certifications: PMP, CEng, or commissioning-specific certifications are advantageous.
· Language: Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
