Pay: 150.000 (BHD) – 250.000 (BHD) per month

Job description:

The Junior Accountant supports the Finance Department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing routine accounting transactions, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities. The role requires attention to detail, basic accounting knowledge, and the ability to work within established financial controls and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

Record day-to-day financial transactions, including journal entries

Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable processing

Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records

Reconciliations

Perform bank, cash, and petty cash reconciliations

Reconcile vendor statements and customer accounts

Identify and report discrepancies to senior finance staff

Compliance & Controls

Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures

Assist with VAT entries, filings, and supporting documentation (where applicable)

Support internal and external audit requirements

Administrative & Support Functions

Maintain accurate accounting records in ERP/accounting systems

Assist senior accountants with ad-hoc finance-related tasks

Coordinate with internal departments for financial information

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

0–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience

Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

Knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel

Skills & Competencies

Strong numerical and analytical skills

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Good organizational and time management abilities

Ability to meet deadlines and work under supervision

Effective communication and teamwork skills

Preferred (Optional)

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, QuickBooks)

Progress toward professional accounting certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, etc.)
