Responsible for day-to-day financial tasks including maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and analyzing financial data, managing and maintaining accurate financial records utilizing ERP software, handling tax and treasury-related tasks with familiarity and efficiency, reviewing field payments& undertaking any additional tasks assigned by management.
This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Accounting Operations
• Record daily accounting transactions (sales, purchases, payments, receipts, journals) in Odoo Accounting Module.
• Maintain accurate general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable records.
• Support month-end and year-end closing and reconciliation processes including Bank and Receivables reconciliation.
Invoicing & Receivables Management
• Prepare and issue customer invoices for research projects as per company and the country’s tax regulations.
• Record client receipts and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Coordinate with the Middle East branch for timely collections and client communication.
Updating DCMS& Odoo
• Preparation of Request for Quotation & Send RFQ to different client / Vendors, And Examine the Quotations received & make rate comparisons and issue Purchase order/Invoice
• Supporting DC management throughout the project life cycle
• Register the customer in the company system (ERP)
• Register the projects based on the PO received from the client and enter Field Budgets in Odoo.
• Keep a log of issued invoices based on the project’s terms and conditions.
• Follow up with the client to confirm payment and record it in the system.
• Checking Interviewers details with data file for all projects, observation should be escalated.
Monthly Field Payment Reviews& Observation
• Prepare monthly reports comparing departmental/Type of project forecast with actual performance based on the monthly Field payments submitted by field managers.
• In preparing the internal budgeting for each project, closely collaborate with the department head/Profit center, overseeing the monthly and yearly forecasting.
• Provide feedback on the internal budget to the head of the concerned department.
• For each project, provide a comprehensive report sorted by branches.
Payables & Expense Management
• Record vendor bills, employee reimbursements, and project expenses in Odoo.
• Verify supporting documents and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and maintain proper documentation.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Generate financial reports from Odoo such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
• Prepare project-wise costing reports and assist in financial planning.
• Support management with financial data for decision-making.
Tax & Compliance
• Assist in preparing Middle East VAT and Indian GST reports from Odoo.
• Ensure transactions comply with both Indian and Middle East accounting and tax standards.
• Maintain records for audit and compliance purposes.
• Coordinate with external auditors for tax audits.
• Submit the VAT or GST for each entity or country according to the specified period.
• WHT calculations and payments
• Assist in Statutory Audit and Tax Audit
Coordination & System Support
• Liaise with the Middle East finance team to align financial reporting.
• Report any system issues and work with the Odoo admin team for resolutions.
• Contribute to process improvement and Odoo system enhancement initiatives.
Requirements
• Proficiency In Accounting ERP Software Odoo or similar ERP Platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CMA, CPA) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience or in a similar role, having Audit experience is preferrable.
• Individual with Middle East experience is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office.
• Travel may be required based on business needs, either within or outside the country.
