Highly experienced Mechanical Engineer with over 8 years of expertise in large scale power generation projects, including Synchronous Condenser Plants, electro mechanical systems, and multidisciplinary EPC environments. Demonstrates strong capability in design review, construction supervision, testing & commissioning, and technical coordination across mechanical, electrical, I&C, and civil interfaces. Adept at ensuring that EPC contractors comply with all contractual, technical, and safety requirements according to international standards (ASME, API, ISO, NFPA, IEC, IEEE, ATEX, NEC, etc.).

Proven track record in reviewing and validating complex engineering documentation, participating in HAZOP/SIL/SAFOP studies, and supporting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) globally. Able to lead design review meetings, provide technical recommendations, and ensure alignment with Good Engineering Utility Practice and Owner’s specifications. Key Responsibilities & Experience

Mechanical Systems Expertise

• In depth experience with rotating machinery such as synchronous condensers, auxiliaries, cooling systems, lubrication systems, and associated balance of plant equipment.

• Review of major mechanical equipment design, sizing, rating, and technical data as part of procurement validation.

• Evaluate mechanical installation drawings, equipment lifting plans, foundations, supports, and integration with civil and electrical systems.

Testing, Commissioning & Site Supervision

• After construction and installation, supervise testing and commissioning activities of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements.

• Review commissioning procedures, O&M manuals, ITPs, and construction method statements.

• Support troubleshooting, site queries, red line markups, and as built verification.

Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)

• Attend global FATs for major electro mechanical equipment as required by the Owner.

• Review FAT protocols, inspection documents, and test results to ensure compliance with contract and standards prior to delivery.

Technical Coordination & Communication

• Lead or participate in design review meetings with EPC Contractors, vendors, and the Owner’s Engineering team.

• Prepare engineering progress updates, technical assessments, and recommendations.

• Support Kick off Meetings with Owner and EPC teams to define communication matrices, meeting schedules, and document management processes.

Quality, Safety & Risk Management

• Monitor contractor’s implementation of Environment, Health & Safety Management Systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Approved by relevant Engineering Council (e.g., Saudi Council of Engineers as required).

• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering for large power projects and synchronous condenser facilities.

• Strong command of English, MS Office, and engineering management systems.

• Extensive familiarity with international engineering standards and EPC contract structures.
