Role: Welder / Fabricator (Oil & Gas Sector – Drilling)

Location: Ras Al Khair

JOB SUMMARY:

Positions, reworks, fits, and welds according to written and typed instructions, blueprints, manufacturer’s specifications, and knowledge of characteristics of metal. Selects equipment and plans layout, fabrication, assembly, and welding.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

– 3-5 Years Welding and Fabrication Experience.

– Operating knowledge of welding machine, fabrication tools etc..

– Basic computer & Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge.

– Verbal and written Communication.

– Experienced in using of pneumatic and mechanical hand tools.

– Knowledge to use measuring tools like ID/OD callipers, verniers etc..

Duties & Responsibilities:

– Perform all tasks related to Welding Fabrication.

– Any other reasonable duties deemed necessary by the Workshop Supervisor to all the department to operate effectively and efficiently.

– Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

– Comply with all ARM Company and HSE policies and procedures.

Function/ Purpose:

– Lay out, positions, aligns and fits components together using applicable machines, tools and equipment.

– Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure them in position for final welding.

– Set up and weld parts using welding equipment.

– Have sufficient knowledge of geometry, arithmetic, structural design, heat effects and allowances for thickness of metal to project location of holes, cuts, and bends from blueprints, written and typed instructions and manufacturer’s specifications.

– Must be able to write legibly, and know how to setup, operate, and maintain welding

equipment and tools.

– To use hand tools and be able to correctly setup and operate applicable shop machines.

– Must be able to perform work with minimum supervision and exercise individual initiative and judgment.

– To perform arc and oxy-acetylene welding, cutting, and brazing on various ferrous and nonferrous metals, in accordance with stablished methods and procedures.

– Maintain production documentation per required procedure.

– Perform other work-related task as required as assigned.

– Comply with all ARM Company and HSE procedures and policies.
