Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with a strong background in jewellery retail operations to manage financial records, inventory costing, and daily accounting activities. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working in a jewellery shop and be familiar with gold transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records and daily sales entries

Record gold, purchases and sales

Monitor inventory valuation based on weight, purity (karat), and cost

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports

Reconcile cash, bank statements, POS systems, and supplier accounts

Track manufacturing costs, polishing charges, and repairs

Handle VAT filings

Manage customer accounts, credit sales, and installment plans

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years experience in jewelery retail bookkeeping

knowledge of gold karat calculations

Know how to use accounting software and Excel

Understanding of VAT and local financial regulations

Ability to handle confidential financial data

Preferred Qualifications:

Diploma or Degree in Accounting
