JOB PURPOSE:
The IT Support Specialist provides effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business and will provide advanced support to the IT Administration team and Management. He/ She is responsible for supporting and maintaining all IT-related hardware/software. The position provides exposure to a complete range of IT-related projects and activities and day-to-day operations.
PRINCIPAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over Teams/AnyDesk)
• Diagnosing and resolving software and hardware issues, effectively utilizing problem-solving skills to minimize downtime for users.
• Maintain detailed records of all technical support interactions, including problem resolution steps and follow-up actions.
• Maintain a comprehensive inventory of technical resources and tools available for user support.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups through Active Directory and related systems.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi). Understanding of networking concepts such as IP addressing, DHCP, and VLANs.
• Log, track, and resolve IT support tickets in a timely and professional manner.
• Coordinate with external vendors or service providers for hardware or software maintenance when necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of systems, assets, and support procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies and cybersecurity practices, including software updates and data backups.
• Support IT infrastructure projects, upgrades, and deployment of new tools or systems.
• Oversee Microsoft licenses (Microsoft 365, Exchange.) including user provisioning, access control, and renewals.
• Manage email systems and licenses, ensuring availability, security, and compliance.
• Monitor software license usage to ensure compliance and cost optimization.
• Handle license procurement, renewal, and decommissioning. Maintain accurate records of licenses, subscriptions, and expiration dates.
• PBX/VOIP configuration and troubleshooting skills.
• Biometric/fingerprint configuration and troubleshooting skills.
