Job Purpose:

To manage the efficient and secure storage and distribution of goods, ensuring the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders. The role involves overseeing logistics operations, optimizing supply chain processes, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Duties:

• Plan, manage, and oversee logistics and freight activities based on the incoterms of the client.

• Direct, coordinate, and optimize the freight and logistics delivery processes.

• Establish and maintain effective communication and negotiations with suppliers and service providers

• Monitor and control delivery timelines and operational efficiency.

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of shipment organization, including documentation and scheduling.

• Resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

• Lead, supervise, train, and support freight and logistics staff to ensure optimal performance.

• Achieve targets related to cost efficiency, productivity, accuracy, and on-time delivery.

• Develop and maintain performance metrics, analyze data, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

• Oversee customs clearance processes for air and sea shipments.

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of shipment organization, including documentation and scheduling.

• Negotiate and finalize service agreements and contracts with logistics providers.

• Anticipate and resolve technical or operational challenges during the shipment process.

• Prepare and submit documentation required by relevant regulatory authorities.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.

• Adhere to legal, regulatory, and ISO quality standards in all logistics operations.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in logistics operations, with exposure to both national and international environments.

• Proven track record of success in logistics and distribution management.

• Demonstrated experience in a leadership role with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams.

• Proficiency in logistics, freight, and supply chain management software and systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a strategic mindset.

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accountability and attention to detail.
