Document Controller – 5 Nos

JOB SPECIFICATION/ DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities

o

Assign document numbers, maintain registers, and manage transmittals for internal and external stakeholders.

o

Track document statuses, enforce version control, and maintain revision history.

o

Validate document metadata (discipline, tag references, equipment numbers, vendor codes).

o

Ensure documents are correctly linked to assets and engineering deliverables (P&IDs, SLDs, loop diagrams, GA drawings).

o

Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams to close documentation gaps.

o

Align records with physical verification outcomes and ensure consistency across disciplines.

o

Interface with area owners and client representatives to secure missing documents and obtain formal approvals.

o

Support vendor document submissions and ensure compliance with project standards.

o

Generate periodic reports (dashboards, status logs, overdue actions) using Microsoft Excel and other MS tools.

o

Support audits, handover activities, and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and project quality requirements.

Required Qualifications

•

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering in Mechanical/ Electrical (or equivalent).

•

5–10 years of experience in engineering document control within industries.

•

Strong proficiency with EDMS platforms (SharePoint, Aconex) and Microsoft Office (advanced Excel).

Preferred Technical Skills

•

Familiarity with CMMS/EAM integration (SAP, Maximo).

•

Understanding of discipline deliverables (P&IDs, SLDs, loop diagrams, GA drawings).

•

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and stakeholder communication.
