Position Title: QA/QC Electrical Engineer

Role Overview

The QA/QC Electrical Engineer will oversee the quality assurance and quality control of all electrical works within airport projects, with a special focus on generator systems, backup power infrastructure, and associated control systems. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, international standards, and airport authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor the Quality Management System (QMS) for all electrical works, especially power generation and backup systems.

Review and approve material submittals, method statements, ITPs, and shop drawings related to diesel generators, ATS/AMF panels, synchronizing panels, fuel systems, and load management systems.

Conduct inspections for installation, alignment, cabling, grounding, exhaust systems, and vibration control of generators.

Verify testing & commissioning activities for:

Generator start/stop sequences

Load tests and load bank tests

Synchronization and load sharing

ATS/AMF functionality

Fuel system integrity and safety

Ensure compliance with NEC, IEC, NFPA 110, ICAO standards, and airport authority guidelines for emergency power systems.

Prepare QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, NCRs, CARs, MIRs, test reports, and commissioning records.

Coordinate with consultants, clients, and suppliers during inspections and factory acceptance tests (FAT).

Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to quality requirements for generator and electrical systems.

Support project handover by preparing as‑built drawings, test certificates, and complete quality dossiers.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in airport or large‑scale infrastructure projects.

Strong technical knowledge of diesel generators, ATS/AMF systems, synchronization, load management, and emergency power systems.

Experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting generator systems.

Familiarity with international electrical and safety standards.

Excellent documentation, coordination, and communication skills.
