MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Department: Mechanical

Reports To: Mechanical Engineer

Job Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose

To install, maintain, and support the commissioning of mechanical equipment associated with loading and unloading skid systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation in accordance with project specifications and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Install mechanical equipment including pumps, strainers, valves, filters, and loading arms

• Assist in equipment alignment, leveling, and torque tightening as per manufacturer specifications

• Support mechanical testing, inspections, and pre-commissioning activities

• Perform lubrication, greasing, and pre-start checks on mechanical equipment

• Assist commissioning teams during startup and operational readiness activities

• Coordinate with piping, electrical, and instrumentation teams during installation

• Identify and report mechanical issues and assist in troubleshooting

• Maintain proper housekeeping and comply with site safety and HSE regulations

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of mechanical installation and maintenance practices

• Familiarity with hand tools, torque tools, and alignment equipment

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals

• Good teamwork and communication skills

• Awareness of oil & gas and fuel handling safety standards

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant mechanical work experience

• Experience with fuel handling systems, loading/unloading skids, or oil & gas projects preferred

• Saudi Aramco project experience preferred
