Job Description: Mechanical QC Inspector (Material Inspection)

Position Title: Mechanical QC Inspector

Specialization: Material Inspection / QA-QC

Location: Rabigh, Saudi Arabia

Project Type: Long-Term (Plant Maintenance / Industrial Projects)

Role Summary

The Mechanical QC Inspector is responsible for conducting quality control and material inspection

activities for mechanical works within plant maintenance and industrial project environments. The role

ensures that all materials and mechanical components comply with approved specifications,

international standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

 Perform QC inspection of incoming mechanical materials for maintenance and project activities.

 Verify compliance with engineering specifications, datasheets, and international standards

(ASME, ASTM, API).

 Review and validate Material Test Certificates (MTCs), Mill Certificates, Heat Numbers, and

traceability documentation.

 Conduct visual inspection and dimensional checks for:

o Piping materials (CS/SS/Alloy)

o Valves, fittings, flanges, gaskets

o Rotating equipment spares parts

 Prepare and maintain QC documentation including IRs, MRRs, NCRs, and inspection reports.

 Ensure proper tagging, identification, and segregation of accepted/rejected materials.

 Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and maintenance teams for material acceptance and

discrepancy resolution.

 Support client inspections, audits, and quality surveillance activities.

 Ensure compliance with project ITPs, QA/QC procedures, and safety requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

 Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

 Minimum 7+ years of QC experience in mechanical and material inspection.

 Strong understanding of mechanical materials, QA/QC processes, and inspection techniques.

 Experience in plant maintenance or industrial facilities.

 Aramco/SABIC project experience or approval is an advantage.

 Ability to interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, and standards.

 Valid Driving License is mandatory (Company vehicle will be provided).
