Job Description: Forklift Operator (Container Experience)

Job Summary: Operate a forklift to move, load, and unload containers and other warehouse materials, ensuring the smooth flow of goods within a fast-paced warehouse environment, while adhering to strict safety standards and meticulously documenting activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Container Handling: Load and unload containers to and from trucks, ships, and designated storage areas.

Equipment Operation: Drive the forklift safely and efficiently to move pallets, crates, and drums to storage or production locations.

Storage and Stacking: Stacking materials on high shelves, maintaining clear aisles and safe loading heights.

Equipment Inspection: Perform daily pre-operational checks of equipment (brakes, tires, warning devices), report any malfunctions, and assist with basic maintenance.

Inventory Management: Participate in periodic inventory counts, accurately record incoming and outgoing materials, and assist in identifying shortages.

Certifications: Valid forklift operator’s license (mandatory).

Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts and handling containers in a warehouse environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating various types of cranes and the ability to maneuver heavy loads in confined spaces.

Personal Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent spatial awareness, good hand-eye coordination, and strong communication skills.

Abilities: Commitment to safety, ability to work under pressure, and the ability to work rotating shifts.
