Job Title: Diesel Engine Mechanic – Heavy Equipment (950 H Loaders & Forklifts)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Diesel Engine Mechanic to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot diesel engines in heavy equipment, including 950 H Wheel Loaders, forklifts, generators, and company vehicles. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, hands-on experience, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical certification in diesel mechanics preferred.

Proven experience working on 950 H Loaders and similar heavy equipment.

Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.

Proficient in using diagnostic tools and hand/power tools.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Physical stamina to work in demanding environments.

Basic English skills (able to read and follow equipment manuals).

Age Limit: 30–40 years.

Experience:

Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.

Experience with heavy equipment such as 950 H Wheel Loaders, forklifts, generators, and company vehicles.

Skilled in diagnosing engine problems, performing routine maintenance, and completing repairs efficiently.

Experience managing spare parts inventory and maintaining accurate service records.

Prior experience mentoring junior mechanics is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines in loaders, forklifts, generators, and vehicles.

Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks.

Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.

Repair or replace defective parts (fuel systems, brakes, cooling systems).

Maintain accurate service records and report progress to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.

Provide guidance to junior mechanics when required.

Stay updated on latest diesel engine technologies and repair techniques.

Maintain spare parts inventory and perform regular checks.

Daily Routine:

Morning Checks & Planning: Review maintenance schedule, inspect tools, check spare parts inventory.

Inspection & Diagnostics: Conduct pre-operation inspections, identify issues, record findings.

Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs; test equipment after service.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain service logs and report major issues.

Team Collaboration: Guide junior mechanics and coordinate with other departments.

Safety & Compliance: Follow safety protocols and keep work area organized.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated on new technologies and attend training sessions.
