Job Summary
The Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate construction drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings in accordance with project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed construction, shop, and coordination drawings
Develop as-built drawings based on site modifications
Revise drawings as per engineer, consultant, or client comments
Coordinate drawings with civil, architectural, and MEP disciplines
Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and standards
Maintain proper drawing records and document control
Support quantity take-offs and material schedules from drawings
Assist engineers in design coordination and submissions
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or ITI in Drafting, Civil Engineering, or related field
2–5 years of experience as a Draftsman in construction projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit / BIM is an advantage)
Strong understanding of construction drawings and standards
Good attention to detail and time management skills
Preferred Skills
Experience in building or infrastructure projects
Knowledge of shop drawings and coordination drawings
Familiarity with local codes and construction practices
