Job Title: Project Manager – Steel Structures / Steel Erection

Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)

Experience:

Minimum 8 years of proven experience in steel structures and steel erection projects

Job Description:

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, monitoring, and successful completion of steel structure and steel erection projects, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, schedule, and budget requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, manage, and execute steel structure and steel erection projects from initiation to completion

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and site erection teams

Review project drawings, specifications, method statements, and schedules

Prepare and monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation

Ensure compliance with contract requirements, technical standards, and client specifications

Manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers related to steel works

Monitor site progress and resolve technical, operational, and contractual issues

Ensure strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards

Conduct project meetings with clients, consultants, and internal teams

Prepare progress reports, cost reports, and risk assessments

Manage project variations, claims, and change orders

Ensure timely project handover and documentation completion

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, steel erection, and structural systems

Excellent project planning and scheduling skills

Sound understanding of international codes and standards (ASTM, AISC, BS, etc.)

Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities

Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines

Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office

Good problem-solving and negotiation skills
