Business Developer – Technical (Programming Background)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Business Developer with a strong programming and technology background to lead the development, optimization, and operation of our event registration and on-site engagement platforms. The role bridges business development, technical execution, and operational excellence to enhance conference management systems and digital event experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and continuously improve the event registration and on-site engagement platforms to ensure seamless and efficient operations during conferences and events.

• Identify technical, operational, and user-experience gaps in the current conference management platform and lead the implementation of effective solutions.

• Collaborate closely with internal teams (operations, marketing, finance, and event management) to ensure end-to-end platform integration and smooth execution.

• Oversee on-site digital operations, including registration systems, badge printing, access control, and engagement tools.

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and coordinate with developers or vendors when needed.

• Proactively propose new digital features, automation tools, and process improvements to enhance scalability and performance.

• Support additional technology-driven business development initiatives related to events, platforms, and digital services.

• Ensure data accuracy, system security, and platform reliability before, during, and after events.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of software development, systems architecture, and digital platforms.

• Experience with event management systems, registration platforms, or SaaS solutions is a plus.

• Ability to analyze technical problems and implement practical, scalable solutions.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.

• Business-oriented mindset with the ability to align technology solutions with organizational goals.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in programming, system customization, or API integrations.

• Familiarity with UX/UI optimization and workflow automation.

• Prior exposure to conferences, exhibitions, or large-scale event operations.
