(AutoCAD & Tekla Structures)

Job Summary

preparing accurate shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings for structural steel projects using AutoCAD and/or Tekla Structures.

1. Steel Detailing & Modeling

• Create 3D structural steel models in Tekla Structures

• Prepare 2D shop drawings using AutoCAD

• Detail beams, columns, bracings, trusses, stairs, ladders, handrails, and misc. steel

• Model and detail bolted and welded connections

2. Fabrication & Erection Drawings

• Generate:

o Assembly drawings

o Single part drawings

o GA (General Arrangement) drawings

o Erection drawings

• Ensure dimensions, tolerances, weld symbols, and bolt specifications are correct

• Extract reports for plates, bolts, and profiles

Software Skills Required

• Tekla Structures (modeling, connections, reports, NC files)

• AutoCAD (2D detailing & layouts)

Technical Skills

• Structural steel fabrication knowledge

• Steel sections & profiles (I, W, RHS, SHS, angles, plates)

Experience Levels: 0–2 years
