Job Summary

The BIM Modeler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating accurate Building Information Models in accordance with project requirements and BIM standards. The role supports design, coordination, and construction processes by producing high-quality 3D models, drawings, and schedules across various project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and develop detailed BIM models using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, or other BIM tools

• Prepare construction drawings, shop drawings, and as-built models from BIM data

• Model architectural, structural, or MEP elements according to project scope

• Ensure models comply with BIM execution plans, standards, and naming conventions

• Update models based on design changes, RFIs, and coordination feedback

• Collaborate with BIM Coordinators and multidisciplinary project teams

• Support clash detection and coordination activities as required

• Generate schedules, quantities, and basic take-offs from BIM models

• Maintain model accuracy, data integrity, and level of development (LOD) requirements

• Assist in the preparation of BIM deliverables for project milestones

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Drafting, or related field

• 2+ years of experience in a BIM modeling or drafting role

• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks (as applicable)

• Strong understanding of construction drawings and building systems

• Ability to interpret design documents and technical specifications

• Good attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in architectural, structural, or MEP modeling

• Familiarity with BIM standards such as LOD, ISO 19650, or COBie

• Experience with Common Data Environments (e.g., BIM 360, ACC)

• Basic knowledge of clash detection and coordination workflows

• Experience with Dynamo or other automation tools
