Job Summary

The BIM Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, managing, and maintaining Building Information Models (BIM) across multidisciplinary project teams. The role ensures model accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards, while supporting collaboration between architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate BIM models across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines

• Develop, implement, and enforce BIM standards, workflows, and execution plans

• Manage model setup, file structures, shared coordinates, and collaboration platforms

• Perform model audits and quality control checks to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Detect, manage, and resolve clashes using clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks)

• Support project teams with BIM-related technical issues and best practices

• Ensure models are updated in line with project schedules and design changes

• Generate BIM deliverables, including drawings, schedules, and 3D visualizations

• Facilitate coordination meetings and provide clash reports and model updates

• Support 4D/5D BIM processes when required

• Maintain documentation related to BIM processes and standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

• 3+ years of experience in a BIM coordination or BIM technician role

• Strong proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and related tools

• Solid understanding of construction methods, building systems, and design coordination

• Experience working on multidisciplinary projects

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Excellent communication and coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Common Data Environments (CDE) such as BIM 360, ACC, or similar platforms

• Knowledge of BIM standards (ISO 19650, LOD, COBie, etc.)

• Experience with Dynamo, scripting, or automation tools

• Familiarity with 4D/5D BIM, quantity take-offs, and construction sequencing

• BIM certification (Autodesk, buildingSMART, or equivalent)
