Job Description – Mechanical Engineer (Infrastructure & Utilities)

Position: Mechanical Engineer

Experience: Minimum 5+ years Gulf experience

Industry: Infrastructure, Utilities, Pumping Stations, Drainage

Role Summary

The Mechanical Engineer will handle all mechanical engineering activities related to

infrastructure projects, including utilities, drainage, TSE, sewer networks, pumping stations, and

mechanical components for road and bridge systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Review mechanical designs, specifications, drawings, and calculations for infrastructure

systems.

• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.

• Coordinate with civil, electrical, and BIM teams for seamless integration.

• Ensure compliance with local authority requirements (Ashghal/Qatar, MOT, SEC, etc.).

• Conduct HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and utility system reviews when relevant.

• Manage inspections, QA/QC procedures, and material approvals.

• Maintain documentation, reports, and project logs.

Required Skills & Software Knowledge

• AutoCAD MEP

• Revit MEP (mandatory for BIM-enabled projects)

• Navisworks Manage / BIM 360 coordination

• Pipe flow and hydraulic calculation software (PipeFlow Expert, WaterCAD, EPANET)

• MS Office & project documentation tools

Should have valid IQAMA and freelancer OWN visa
