Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Systems Management

Maintain, monitor, and optimize servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments.

Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, operating systems, and enterprise applications.

Perform system upgrades, patch management, and capacity planning.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

Provide Tier-3 technical support and resolve escalated issues efficiently.

Diagnose and solve complex problems related to networks, security, hardware, and software.

Document solutions, create knowledge base articles, and mentor junior IT staff.

Security & Compliance

Implement and manage cybersecurity measures including firewalls, antivirus, identity access management (IAM), and SIEM tools.

Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.

Oversee data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.

Project Management

Lead IT projects such as system migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and new technology rollouts.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define timelines, and manage resources.

Evaluate and recommend new technologies to support business growth.

Network Administration

Maintain LAN/WAN architecture, VPNs, wireless networks, and network hardware.

Ensure network performance, reliability, and optimal configuration.

Monitor network traffic and proactively address potential issues.

Cloud & Virtualization

Manage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-prem virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V).

Optimize cloud resources and manage access, security, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

5–8+ years of hands-on IT experience in systems, networks, or technical support.

Prior experience leading IT initiatives or managing IT infrastructure at an advanced level.

Required Skills

Strong expertise in Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, and networking.

Proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Office 365, and cloud platforms.

Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools.

Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python is a plus).

Excellent troubleshooting, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications

CompTIA Network+, Security+, CySA+

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect

Cisco CCNA/CCNP

ITIL Foundation

VMware or AWS certifications

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed
