Key Responsibilities

As the Carpentry Workshop In-Charge, you will be crucial in ensuring our projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards. Your main duties will include:

– Preparing accurate cutting lists based on approved drawings and current site conditions.

– Reviewing detailed shop drawings to ensure precise execution of all joinery works.

– Supervising carpentry teams (carpenters, helpers) and effectively delegating tasks according to project schedules.

– Motivating and guiding the team under pressure, demonstrating strong leadership skills.

– Promoting a collaborative work environment and maintaining respectful coordination with all other departments.

– Monitoring quality standards rigorously and implementing timely corrective actions when necessary.

– Managing workshop inventory and ensuring the timely and efficient requisition of materials.

– Taking care of workshop personnel (carpenters, helpers) and fostering a positive, respectful environment.

– Upholding company values and fostering a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and accountability.

– Reporting progress regularly and clearly to the line manager.

Qualifications and Skills

– Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a carpentry or joinery workshop.

– In-depth technical knowledge of joinery works and the ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings.

– Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

– Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
