Position Summary:
The Sales & Marketing Officer is responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies to increase market share, drive product visibility, and achieve sales targets for the company’s range of detergents and related products. This role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively manage both field sales operations and brand promotional activities within a competitive FMCG environment.
Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of proven experience in sales and/or marketing, preferably within the FMCG sector, with direct experience in household or personal care products (detergents is a plus).
Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with CRM software is an advantage
Strong Sales Acumen: Proven ability to negotiate, close deals, and manage a sales pipeline.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the FMCG distribution chain and retail landscape.
Results-Oriented: Highly motivated and driven by results, with a strong commitment to meeting targets.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., Production, Finance, Logistics).
Missions:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Management
Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume and value targets for the assigned territory or product lines.
Distribution & Channel Management: Identify and onboard new distributors, wholesalers, and retail chains. Manage and monitor the performance of the existing distribution network to ensure optimal market penetration.
Field Sales Execution: Conduct regular market visits to monitor stock levels, ensure proper product placement, secure shelf space, and gather competitive intelligence.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers and distribution partners.
Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and expense reports.
Marketing & Brand Promotion
Campaign Execution: Assist in the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities (e.g., in-store activations, sampling, trade shows).
Market Research: Conduct basic market research to understand consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive positioning within the detergent category.
Merchandising & Visibility: Ensure all points of sale (POS) display the company’s products effectively and that promotional materials (POSM) are utilized correctly to maximize brand visibility.
Budget Management: Manage allocated sales and marketing budgets effectively to ensure a high return on investment (ROI).
