تفاصيل الوظيفة
We are seeking a motivated and qualified professional as mentioned below to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of duties that contribute to the effective operation and continued success of the organization.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication abilities, a strong sense of professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of performance.
Technical Engineer – Mechanical
Key Roles and Responsibilities
The responsibilities of a mechanical technical engineer often span the entire project lifecycle, from initial design to commissioning and handover.
1. Design and System Development
Mechanical Systems Design: Design and create detailed drawings and specifications for critical systems like:
HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems to maintain indoor air quality and temperature.
Plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, sanitary systems).
Fire Protection systems (sprinklers, fire suppression, smoke control).
Vertical transportation (elevators and escalators).
Calculations and Modeling: Perform engineering calculations for sizing equipment (e.g., pumps, chillers, ducts) and use advanced tools like Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create accurate, holistic, and coordinated designs.
Sustainability and Efficiency: Focus on energy efficiency and sustainable design principles, integrating solutions like rainwater harvesting, solar heating, and building management control systems to minimize the building’s environmental impact (e.g., aiming for Net Zero Carbon).
2. On-Site Management and Installation
Oversight and Supervision: Supervise the installation of all mechanical systems, ensuring the work adheres strictly to design specifications, relevant codes, and regulations.
Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections and material quality checks to monitor progress and ensure high-quality workmanship.
Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot any technical issues or design conflicts that arise during the construction phase and propose effective solutions to maintain project continuity.
Testing and Commissioning: Conduct rigorous testing and commissioning of the installed systems to verify their performance meets the required standards and specifications before the building is handed over to the client.
3. Collaboration and Coordination
Inter-Disciplinary Coordination: Work closely with other professionals, including architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers, to ensure all mechanical systems are seamlessly integrated with the building’s overall design and avoid clashes in spatial or operational requirements.
Procurement and Logistics: Assist the project team with the technical evaluation and procurement of mechanical equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with specifications and resolving any non-conformities from suppliers.
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive records, including site daily reports, inspection requests, maintenance schedules, and technical documentation.
Technical Engineer – Electrical & ELV
Key Roles and Responsibilities
This part of the role focuses on delivering safe, reliable, and compliant electrical energy to the entire facility.
1. Design and Planning
• Power Distribution: Design the entire power distribution network, including sizing and specifying transformers, main switchgear, main distribution boards, and sub-main distribution panels.
• Load Analysis: Conduct detailed electrical load calculations for the entire building (e.g., connected, demand, and maximum diversified loads) to size equipment and cabling correctly.
• Lighting Systems: Design and specify internal and external lighting, including normal lighting and emergency/exit lighting circuits, ensuring compliance with illumination standards.
• Protection and Grounding: Design and specify earthing/grounding systems, lightning protection systems, and over-current protection schemes (circuit breakers, fuses) to ensure public and equipment safety.
• Data and Telecommunications: Design the structured cabling systems (copper and fibre-optic), data centres (server rooms), and networking infrastructure (LAN/WLAN) for voice, data, and video transmission.
• Fire Safety: Design and specify the Fire Alarm System (FAS), including control panels, smoke/heat detectors, manual call points, and integration with other systems (like HVAC shutdown or elevator recall).
• Security Systems: Design and integrate security features, including CCTV (cameras, recorders, storage), Access Control Systems (readers, controllers), and Intrusion Detection Systems.
• Building Automation: Design and specify the Building Management System (BMS) or Guest Room Management System (GRMS) for monitoring and controlling HVAC, lighting, and other utility systems to optimize energy use and comfort.
• Communication/Life Safety: Design Public Address (PA) and Voice Evacuation Systems (speakers, amplifiers) and other specialized systems like Master Clock or IPTV/MATV.
2. Construction and Testing
• Site Supervision: Oversee the installation of all power cabling, containment (trays/conduits), termination, and connection of all heavy-current equipment.
• Testing: Conduct and document pre-commissioning and commissioning tests such as insulation resistance tests, earth continuity tests, and functional tests of switchgear and protection relays.
3. Integration and Commissioning
• Interface Coordination: Ensure seamless integration and communication between various low-current systems (e.g., FAS triggering the PA system, Access Control logging onto the BMS).
• Programming and Configuration: Oversee or perform the configuration, programming, and integration of low-current control panels, servers, and software platforms.
• Training: Provide technical documentation and training to the building operators and maintenance staff on the functionality and operation of all low-current systems.
Overall Responsibilities
• Coordination: Ensure spatial and operational coordination between the heavy current and low current systems, particularly to prevent electromagnetic interference (EMI) and ensure proper separation of power and signal cabling.
• Code Compliance: Guarantee all electrical and low-current installations comply with local authority regulations, national electrical codes (e.g., NEC), and international standards.
• Documentation: Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, material samples, and ultimately provide accurate As-Built drawings and Operation & Maintenance manuals.
Applicants should possess relevant educational qualifications and practical experience appropriate to the role. A strong work ethic, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently are essential.
This is a local hiring, only candidates currently residing within the Kingdom with a transferable iqama are eligible to apply.
Competitive salary package and benefits waiting for the qualified applicant.
