Key responsibilities

Ensuring compliance: Monitor construction activities to ensure they comply with environmental laws, regulations, and the project’s Environmental Management Plan (EMP).

Site inspections and monitoring: Conduct regular site visits and inspections to identify potential environmental impacts and ensure that best practices are being followed.

Risk assessment and mitigation: Perform environmental risk assessments to identify potential impacts and develop control measures to mitigate negative effects.

Training and education: Provide environmental awareness training to site staff to educate them on environmental policies, procedures, and requirements.

Documentation and reporting: Maintain records of all environmental activities and prepare reports, including pre-construction assessments, regular compliance reports, and post-construction audits.

Advising and consultation: Advise the project team, client, and contractors on environmentally sound solutions, remediation measures, and method statements for high-impact activities.

Stakeholder engagement: Interface with internal and external stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies, to address compliance issues and report on project performance.

Environmental management: Develop and implement strategies for managing environmental issues on-site, including waste minimization, pollution control, and emergency response procedures for incidents like spills.

Must Have diploma / Degree in environmental sciences.
