We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. Your primary duties will include managing payroll data, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and addressing any payroll-related inquiries from staff. As a pivotal member of our team, you will collaborate closely with HR to maintain updated employee records, manage benefits deductions, and conduct regular audits to prevent discrepancies. A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to confidentiality are essential in maintaining the integrity of our payroll system. You will also be tasked with staying updated on tax regulations and labor laws to ensure that the organization is compliant with all payroll practices.

Responsibilities

Process payroll for all employees on a bi-weekly basis.

Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation for audits.

Ensure compliance with local payroll regulations.

Calculate and deduct GOSI, and other deductions from employee paychecks.

Collaborate with colleagues on employee status changes and benefit enrollments.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and GOSI questions.

Prepare and submit payroll reports as required for management.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Payroll Officer.

Strong knowledge of payroll procedures and regulations.

Familiarity with accounting software and databases.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Strong numerical skills and proficiency in Excel or equivalent spreadsheet software.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to assist employees.
