Job Summary:

The Workshop Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all workshop activities, including maintenance, repair, and servicing of vehicles, machinery, or equipment. The role ensures that all work is carried out efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards while managing workshop staff, resources, and workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of technicians and mechanics in the workshop.

* Assign work orders, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of all jobs.

* Inspect work performed to ensure it meets company and safety standards.

* Diagnose mechanical issues and provide technical guidance to workshop staff.

* Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and workshop facilities.

* Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables; raise requisitions when required.

* Maintain accurate job cards, service records, and daily reports.

* Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company policies.

* Train, guide, and evaluate workshop staff performance.

* Communicate effectively with management and other departments regarding maintenance schedules, job priorities, and technical issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.

Minimum [5+] years of experience in a workshop environment, with at least [2+] years in a supervisory role.

Strong technical knowledge of vehicle/machinery repair and maintenance.

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Knowledge of safety regulations and workshop best practices.

Computer literacy for reporting and maintenance tracking.
